This textile mixed media piece was inspired by the horrific reality our bees are living through due to the destruction plastic and litter causes to our planet. The loss of habitats, pollution and climate change is driving these tiny insects into danger. Bees are a vital player in our ecosystem and as they become threatened so do our own lives. Created using recycled materials and plastic, the textures, colours, shapes and forms found in this piece reflect the destructive story happening around us.
